Why do some people say that Cesar Milan is inhumane?
Cesar himself clearly shows that his methods work and can explain so much about basic canine instincts and can responds to this distinctive behavior to back it up.
Are other dog trainers just angry because they can not do as good of a job or maybe they wish they were as famous as Cesar. They may believe he is showing them up or perhaps they just really don’t understand dogs as well as Cesar Milan does. What do you think?
I wanted to know how people felt about the dog whisperer and his methods. I often see answers to dog posts that say, “Watch Cesar Milan.” As a trainer, shower and groomer, I have had a fair amount of experience with dogs and behavior, and I like the principals that Cesar lays down about communicating with dogs.
Having said that, he does employ some methods that Ido not fully agree with. As in any subject matter, you always get varying opinions though. The one problem that I have with him is that he doesn’t emphasize the importance of consulting with other dog trainers.
Often I notice that people are encouraged to diagnose dog behavior after watching him. It is very easy to incorrectly interpret fear or play as aggression. If a dog has a problem that could be dangerous it may be prudent to seek the help of a professional in my opinion. I wonder if other people agree with the dog whisperer and other similar shows.
