It's not easy to find another Cesar Millan existence here for he's the only one who dedicated himself in the world of dogs. He's truly amazing and the best one. His books will surely help a lot. You'll never become tired of reading them, especially if you're just a beginner to train your dogs.

Like Howlarious said, I'm sure he gets them dumped on his doorstep all the time. I'm studying to be a dog trainer right now, so neighbors are constantly dropping off not just dogs, but every other animal that they've decided they don't want anymore. Obviously they don't know how much it costs to REALLY care for a dog, or they wouldn't assume that I could afford every animal that they dump on me. Cesar, of course, CAN afford to care for every animal that's dumped on him lol. So I'm sure he doesn't have to look very hard for dogs to take in.

most likely from irresponsible or overwhelmed owners that bring them to him and then decide that they cannot keep them, or they just dump them at his doorstep.

ppl do that w/me all the time just because i volunteer at the SPCA..for some reason some ppl think just cause you're a volunteer, trainer etc. that you can or will take any dog off any ones hands. it's hard to say no to someone when you know you really can't or don't have the space for yet another dog...but then you look in those sad puppy eyes and your heart melts.
I'm sure that Mr Millan has this happen all the time, he loves dogs, he wants to help out dogs, ppl know this and sometimes they take advantage of that.

Cesar Millan is great i have seen all his shows and i have all of his books. Make the leash into a loop or if you have a loop chain(choke chain) put it at the top of your dogs neck and keep him to your side when he tries to move ahead give him a quick leash pop to the side it is very important that you do it to the side and not back because if you pull back it will just make him want to pull harder. Good Luck!!

Do you watch the episodes for entertainment or for education? You could find most of your answer right there. ;-)

Have you seen the episode with the Sheltie and the toaster (Season 1)? You might have a similar problem. Letting him run away or keeping him away from the tv when he's anxious is actually allowing him to continue with the behavior. You may want to collar him as Cesar does, with the collar high on the neck, and have him with you to watch DW. Correct him with the pull upward on the leash. Keep him quiet. Keep him still. Don't let him run away. Cesar helps dogs by helping them face their fears. By you being "the authority figure" you can show him there is nothing for him to be anxious about.
Watch the show, really watch it and learn from Cesar. It's very eye-opening and much of it can play a big role in our daily dog-lovin' lives.

Probably because there are other dogs on that show. My dog has some major anexity whenever I leave him home alone and several dog trainers have suggested that I leave on a movie with dogs barking or wolves so that he will be more entertained while I'm gone. Dogs speak in their own doggie bark language and I'm sure hearing other dogs in his territory upsets him. Just pet him and reassure him that he's the boss in your house and that everything is ok even though he can hear the other dogs on t.v.
